Be in the heart of next years Fillmore Jazz Festival in Fillmore Park

by Matt Pelc, published July 17, 2011

An affordable new community is emerging along 1345 Turk St. Called Fillmore Park, the community is targeting working families and individuals earning between 70 and 100 percent of the medium income level of the area. The units will be priced to correspond to the Area Medium Income and household size at the time of purchase. Current price estimates range from the mid-$100,000s to the mid-$300,000s.

The 27th Annual Fillmore Jazz Festival took place along Fillmore Street over Independence Day weekend. While the revelers enjoyed the sounds, smells and tastes of the festival, they also took the short walk over to see how the Turk Street project was coming along. These people dreamt of the possibility of being right in the heart of this terrific festival next year when construction is complete.

The construction began in November 2010 and coming up in the fall, there will be a lottery for all interested buyers on October 19, 2011. The lucky winners will then select their new home. Move-in’s are slated for May 2012.

The project is coming along rather nicely, with the foundation poured and the framing up. The 1300 Block of Turk, between Fillmore and Webster Street are starting to become transformed.

Each year the 27th Annual Fillmore Jazz Festival attracts more than 90,000 people from all over the city, Bay Area and all points beyond. Everyone gathers together to hear jazz, R&B, blues and gospel music and enjoy some fine local culture and cuisine.

Additionally, there are swing dancing competitions, arts and crafts from talented artists from all over Northern California and hourly cooking demos that showcase the restaurants, bistros and cafes that will become hangout spots for the future residents of Fillmore Park.

From Asian to Cajun, from hoppin’ dance music to smooth jazz, from fine art to kitsch gifts, there was something for everyone on July 4th weekend in the Fillmore.  Next year, if you're living at Fillmore Park Condominiums , all you have to do is open the door to join in the fun.

They have tapped Sotheby's International Realty's Affordable Housing Advocate Linda Harrison and her Team to market and sell the stunning condominiums. Linda has been recognized by Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. A Top Producer since 2000 and holds the distinction of being a Passionate Advocate for Affordable Housing in San Francisco.
