Hari S. Abhyankar and Deepali Abhyankar bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 1328 Capuchino Ave. in Burlingame from Kim and James Tramel for $1.175 million on Dec. 4.

The Tramels paid $1,350,000 for the property in May 2006. The 2,020-square-foot house was built in 1928 in the Lower Burlingame neighborhood.

Mr. Abhyankar is senior vice president of business insights and analytics at Universal McCann, a media-marketing consultancy firm.

He previously was vice president of marketing and business development at Digitas Inc. and was management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also has been a consultant for Teradyne Inc./MIT and was a teaching instructor for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.

He received a Ph.D. in management science in 1999 from MIT Sloan School of Management and his M.S. in industrial engineering in 1994 and B.S. in math and economics in 1992 from Purdue University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 223 home sales in Burlingame during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.06 million.
