Paul Michael Farmwald bought a six-bedroom, six-bath home at 260 Oak Grove Ave. in Atherton from Steven Paul Russell, Nancy Joan Wagstaff and Russell Steven Trust Wagstaff for $6.1 million on Dec. 6.
The 6,500-square-foot house was built in 1947 in East Atherton/Lindennwood. It is part of the Oak Manor subdivision.
Farmwald is a general partner at Skymoon Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Santa Clara. He also serves as a venture partner at Benchmark Capital. He has co-founded Rambus Inc., Chromatic Research, Epigram, Matrix Semiconductor and FTL. He worked as an associate professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 114 home sales in Atherton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $3.8 million.
