Estate of sporting goods co-owner lists San Mateo condo

The estate of Edward A. Badt has listed for sale a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 50 Mounds Road in San Mateo for $625,000.

The 2,076-square-foot Unit 801 is part of the 81 units at Top of the Mounds, a development that was built in 1973 in Baywood subdivision. Deborah Wilhelm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is the listing agent.

Edward Badt was a retired special services officer of San Mateo Police department and a former co-owner of Darcy's Sporting Goods in San Mateo. He also was a U.S. Army veteran and reservist.

He passed away in October 2010.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 195 condo sales in San Mateo during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $701,000.
