District engineer sells Parkside 3BD

Ewa Z. Bauer sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 2531 37th Ave. in Parkside to Jerome C. Ty and Lisa J. Yee for $760,000 on Oct. 13.

The 1,375-square-foot house was built in 1947.

Bauer, a registered professional civil engineer, serves as district engineer of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, where she previously was deputy district engineer. Prior to joining the bridge district in 1995, she worked for the California Department of Transportation. She also worked in private engineering consulting companies in the San Francisco Bay area.

She earned her M.S. in civil engineering from Swietokrzyska Polytechnic University and a postgraduate diploma in residential architecture from Warsaw Polytechnical University in Poland.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 115 home sales in Parkside during the past 12 months, with a median sale price of $630,000.
