Matthew and Katharine Shilvock bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 5 Robinhood Drive in Novato from Sean and Wendy Clark for $585,000 on Jan. 20.

The 1,912-square-foot house in Novato East of 101 was built in 1979.

Mr. Shilvock is an associate general director with San Francisco Opera. He joined San Francisco Opera in 2005 as a general director's associate and has most recently served as assistant general director.

Prior to joining San Francisco Opera, he served as a general director's liaison with Houston Grand Opera. Earlier in his career, he worked for Pittsburgh Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, and Janice Mayer and Associates. He has also served as a program manager at PORTOpera in Portland, Maine and was a production administrator for New Chamber Opera at Oxford.

He studied music at the Christ Church at Oxford University and has completed a master's in public administration from University of Massachusetts.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 716 home sales in Novato during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $465,000.
