Art historian and equity firm CEO buy Bolinas 2BD

Janis Yerington and Matthew Yerington bought a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 12 Wharf Road in Bolinas from Dorothy Brey Lemon for $275,000 on Jan. 31.

The 924-square-foot house was built in 1919.

Ms. Yerington is an artist, art historian and writer. She works with Harvest Studio. Previously, she worked at the New Yorker magazine.

She graduated from Brandeis University near Boston. She also attended Studio Art Center International in Florence, Italy and Cambridge University in the UK.

Mr. Yerington is the CEO of Ocean Equity, a venture capital and private equity firm.Previously, he worked as vice president of Americas department and general manager of Front Porch Mobile at Front Porch. He also worked as vice president of e-commerce at Dun & Bradstreet and director of sales at D&B San Francisco.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 642 home sales in Bolinas during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.13 million.
