Denise M. Brown and Walter F. Brown Jr. bought a five-bedroom, 6.5-bath home at 3995 N. Peardale Drive in Lafayette from Laura Marina and Ken Marinai for $3.2 million on July 15.

The Marinais acquired the property in Oct. 2003. The 5,194-square-foot house was built in 2004 in Lafayette North. It is located in Happy Valley subdivision.

Mr. Brown is a managing partner in the law firm of Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP. He works in the firm's litigation division and focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense, securities litigation and complex business litigation.

He holds a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and an A.B. from the University of California - Berkeley.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 157 home sales in Lafayette during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $875,000.
