Helicopter designer and manufacturer Stanley Hiller Jr. owned this house when he passed away in 2006. He was still in high school when he built the first coaxial helicopter. Hiller also manufactured the first military helicopters. Some of Hiller's helicopters are included in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum. After leaving the helicopter industry at the age of 39, Hiller turned his attention to corporate revitalization. Some of the major corporations he saved from shuttering include, Reed Tool Co., Bekins movers, and the Levelor blind company.
