Nicholas W. McKeown and Asena Gencel bought a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 8 Buck Meadow Dr. in Portola Valley from Mark C. Foster for $4.675 million on Oct. 27.

The 4,210-square-foot house was built in 2003.

McKeown is an associate professor at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Departments of Stanford University.

Gencel is the manager of software development at Cisco Systems, the leading supplier of networking equipment and network management for the Internet.

She attended Stanford University and LaFayette College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 32 home sales in Portola Valley during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $2,150,000.
