Kristina Wolf Design, a modern interior designer serving the East Bay, is proud to announce the finalization of its room in the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco with the “Rooms that Rock!” a new non-profit organization founded by Nancy Ballard. KWD is working with the organization to puts local interior designers in touch with hospitals and clinics to redesign chemotherapy rooms from drab shells into cozy rooms for healing.

“Our room at the California Pacific Medical Center is the first group of rooms to be completed for this brand new non-profit organization, Rooms that Rock,” said Kristina Wolf of Kristina Wolf Design.

Creating a welcoming environment can be an effective factor in the overall healing process of cancer patients and provide a measure of comfort for both patients and their families. KWD worked with an experienced team to create room designs. Platypus Painting painted the whole room, Melka Meyers was responsible for all the hand painted fish artwork, and Stitch Custom Furnishings provided the custom window covering.

The room was named “Ronnie’s Room” after Kristina’s brother–in-law who passed away from cancer. This project was made possible with KWD’s personal motivation for participating with the objectives of the organization as well as a way for the company to give back to the Bay Area community.
